It has been hard to get information about the planned reintroduction
of the next 30 or so wolves.I have received reports that a number of wolves in British Columbia
packs have been captured, radio collared, and released. The collared
wolves and as much of their packs as possible will be recaptured when
the go-ahead is received. The go-ahead is probably being delayed due
to the American government shut-down.I also understand that the terrain where the B.C. wolves are to be
captured is easier (more open) for helicopter-darting than last year's
operation in Alberta.
