The wolf-like canid, that has been running with a big white dog, seems to have disappeared. The last attack on sheep in the the area north of Soda Springs in Southeast Idaho took place on Thanksgiving Day.Since the last attack, the rancher, Matt Dredge, has moved his sheep out of the area.
There has been a lethal take permit out on the animal, but unless it reappears with the dog, it would be impossible to identify it from any other wolf, if it is a wolf. So the Fish and Wildlife Service has called off the search.
