Elk Creek

Elk Creek is the major tributary of Bear Valley Creek. In fact the two streams are about the same size at their confluence.  Elk Creek (aptly named) begins in the southwestern corner of the Frank Church Wilderness -- the Corduroy Meadows area -- a place of many large and small meadows interspersed with forest (mostly burned forest in the fires of 1989).
