Lime Creek Roadless Area
Below: An aerial view of the Lime Creek area in December
The Lime Creek roadless area represents the classic Idaho Batholith topography of the Boise Mountains (a sub-range of the vast Salmon River Mountains) Lime Creek drains the extreme eastern portion of the Boise Mountains and the west side of the Soldier Mountains.

The area is erodible, steep canyon and ridge country with marginal timber (which, nevertheless doesn't protect it from logging given that the Forest Service is quite willing to allow logging at a loss with the taxpayers making up the difference).Good news about grazing in Lime Creek
