Report from the Field. July 11, 2002

Hot weather is upon us now! And the wildflowers and butterflies are abundant.   Tabling is a success.  Many are becoming aware.  We are thankful that we have the opportunity to talk with the public.  Some are so upset that they begin to cry. We are connected to all  animal and some feel their pain more easily.  We feel fortunate to be able to study and learn from all the wildlife in the park. The buffalo are migrating toward their rutting grounds.  Heading further into the park. Yesterday  we saw a herd of 300 plus in the Lamar Valley.

Joe's still in jail.  Thanks to everyone who responded about Joe. Your thoughts and prayers are keeping him strong.   Here is Joe's address and the Judge's address who sentenced him, sorry it wasn't on the last update.

Big thanks to Art this week.  He drove all the way from Eugene to fix the green Dodge Ram that he donated to the campaign . We had a few supporters come to visit recently to learn more about the issue.  Many supporters visit the campaign in the summertime and we enjoy having their company. Everyone is welcome to visit us at anytime.

Happy new moon!

"For the animal shall not be measured by man.  In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions and the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings, they are other nations" . . . Henry Betson
