The Washakie Wilderness from the South Fork of the Shoshone River

South Fork Shoshone River Wyoming

The South Fork of the Shoshone River begins at Shoshone Pass, at the southern end of the Washakie Wilderness, and runs northward for about 25 miles through a deep wilderness canyon. Eventually it opens into the South Fork valley at the wilderness boundary and flows northward another 20 miles into Buffalo Bill Reservoir, a few miles from Cody, Wyoming.

It looks a bit like the southwest United States, doesn't it?
